BP ontslaan, oeps de hele industrie, generaals afdanken, geen buitenlandse rekeningen, China / Zwitserland financiële instanties bekritiseren en maar blijven schreeuwen dat zijn Amerikanen beter belasting betalers zijn dan zijn vollen kleur genoten in een Afrikaanse jungle.

Ik ben geen racist, maar sommige karakters behoren meer tot 1 groep dan een ander stam. Zo zijn Nederlanders ruimdenkend en Aziaten kunnen zo lekker door hun neus gorgelen.
Mijn conclusie over Obama dat je een Zwarte uit het bos kan maar niet het bos uit een Zwarten en dan is ie half om half is 1 van de beste culturele observaties.
Hij lult het zelfde als een van die Nigeriaanse stam hoofden in de Niger Delta.
Iemand maakt een foutje en de hele industrie moet stil gelegd worden.
Leest ie de rapport van wat BP bekritiseerd blijkt dat zijn departement MMS onvolwassen en dus incompetent waren.
En maar door blijven jennen dat hij meer gelijkt heeft.

June 23 (Bloomberg) -- The International Energy Agency, an adviser to oil-consuming nations, said growth in world fuel demand will decline over the next five years as the pace of Chinese consumption slows.
The IEA estimates that annual demand growth will shrink every year to average 1 percent in 2015, or 940,000 barrels a day, from 1.9 percent, or 1.62 million barrels a day, in 2010, it said in its Medium-Term Oil and Gas Markets 2010 report today. Total consumption will be 91.93 million barrels a day in five years compared with 86.39 million barrels a day this year, according to the Paris-based agency.

June 23 (Bloomberg) -- Oil companies and contractors with operations in the deep waters of the Gulf of Mexico won’t resume drilling until they see how a federal judge’s decision to lift a U.S. ban plays out, analysts said.
U.S. District Judge Martin Feldman yesterday granted a preliminary injunction, lifting a six-month moratorium President Barack Obama put in place May 27 on new deep-water drilling permits. The president also called for work to be stopped on 33 exploration wells.
The moratorium followed an April 20 explosion on a rig Transocean Ltd. leased to BP Plc. That accident killed 11 workers and created the worst oil spill in U.S. history. Justice Department attorney Michael Thorp said yesterday that the U.S. will ask the judge to stay his ruling pending an appeal. The government didn’t say how soon it would ask for a stay.

June 23 (Bloomberg) -- Norway offered 12 deepwater blocks for offshore oil and gas drilling to stem a drop in production, even as BP Plc seeks to halt the worst oil spill in U.S. history at a similar depth in the Gulf of Mexico.
Norway, the world’s sixth-biggest oil exporter, today announced 12 new areas for drilling at a depth of more than 1,500 meters (4,900 feet), the same as BP’s leaking well at about 5,000 feet, as part of the nation’s 21st licensing round.

MOSKOU (AFN) - De Europese Commissie zegt dat maximaal 6,25 procent van de Europese gasconsumptie getroffen wordt als de gaskraan in Wit-Rusland geheel dicht gaat. Dat raakt vooral EU-land Litouwen, dat voor zijn gas geheel afhankelijk is van deze pijpleiding. Duitsland en Polen zijn in mindere mate betrokken.
Een woordvoerster van EU-commissaris Günther Oettinger (Energie) heeft dat dinsdag gezegd. Litouwen kan zo nodig een week lang gas krijgen uit de wintervoorraad van Litouwen. ,,Wat er na die week moet gebeuren, weten we niet'', aldus de woordvoerster. Rusland heeft de EU beloofd om Duitsland en Polen van gas te voorzien via een alternatieve leiding door Oekraïne, maar onzeker is nog of er in Duitsland en Polen zelf voldoende capaciteit is voor deze route.
Volgens de Europese Commissie zijn er tot dusver geen onderbrekingen in de toevoer naar EU-landen vastgesteld.
Rusland heeft de gastoevoer naar Wit-Rusland dinsdag met in totaal bijna een derde teruggebracht omdat de Wit-Russen volgens Rusland de rekening nog niet hebben betaald. Dat liet het Russische staatsbedrijf Gazprom weten.
,,Vanaf 10.00 uur in de ochtend op 22 juni hebben we de dagelijkse gastoevoer van Rusland naar Wit-Rusland met 30 procent teruggeschroefd'', aldus topman Alexei Miller van Gazprom. Maandag was de gastoevoer al met 15 procent teruggebracht. Miller zei toen dat de kraan helemaal dicht gaat als in de komende dagen geen oplossing gevonden zou worden.
Wit-Rusland op zijn beurt dreigt nu gas bestemd voor Europa af te tappen voor eigen gebruik. In een brief aan Gazprom doet de regering van Wit-Rusland een beroep op Rusland om de gastoevoer niet verder af te knijpen. In de brief stelt Wit-Rusland dat wanneer Rusland dat wel doet, het land zich dan genoodzaakt ziet gas te tappen uit het doorvoersysteem ,,zodat in de behoefte van de Wit-Russische economie en het volk voorzien kan worden.''
Enkele jaren geleden zette een soortgelijk conflict een deel van Oost-Europa in de kou. Toen had Rusland een ruzie met Oekraïne over een nieuw gascontract. Toen draaide Rusland de kraan naar Oekraïne geheel dicht. Dat gebeurde in hartje winter.

BP Plc (BP:US) fell 2.3 percent to $29.63, the lowest intraday price since June 16. The company’s efforts to clean up the worst oil spill in U.S. history may be disrupted as the first storm of the Atlantic hurricane season may enter the Gulf of Mexico as soon as next week.
Anadarko Petroleum Corp. (APC:US), which has a 25 percent stake in BP’s leaking well, decreased 2 percent to $42.60.
Transocean Ltd. (RIG:US), which leased to BP the Deepwater Horizon oil rig, declined 1.1 percent to $53.30.

June 22 (Bloomberg) -- East Timor, opposed to Woodside Petroleum Ltd.’s plan to develop the Sunrise gas project using a floating plant, said it proposes a $3.8 billion oil and gas development hub on its southern coast.
Negotiations with Australia over the venture in the Timor Sea continue, government spokesman Agio Pereira said in an e- mailed statement today. The southeast Asian nation said it expects to put forward its plan later this year.
Australia’s second-largest oil and gas producer and its partners, including Royal Dutch Shell Plc, have opted to rely on floating liquefied natural gas technology for the development, saying that it will deliver the most revenue to both Australia and East Timor. The government of East Timor objects to any plan that doesn’t include a gas processing plant in the country.

June 22 (Bloomberg) -- Royal Dutch Shell Plc was penalized by the bond market in a $2.75 billion debt offering and Anadarko Petroleum Corp. notes tumbled on concern the worst oil spill in U.S. history will depress profits across the industry.
Investors demanded an extra 110 basis points in yield over U.S. Treasuries to buy the five-year notes from Shell, compared with 89 basis points for existing debt of similar maturity from The Hague-based company.

Onrustbarende hypothese mbt het BP lek:
First of all...set aside all your thoughts of plugging the well and stopping it from blowing out oil using any method from the top down. Plugs, big valves to just shut it off, pinching the pipe closed, installing a new bop or lmrp, shooting any epoxy in it, top kills with mud etc etc etc....forget that, it won't be happening..it's done and over. In fact actually opening up the well at the subsea source and allowing it to gush more is not only exactly what has happened, it was probably necessary, or so they think anyway.
So you have to ask WHY? Why make it worse?...there really can only be one answer and that answer does not bode well for all of us. It's really an inescapable conclusion at this point, unless you want to believe that every Oil and Gas professional involved suddenly just forgot everything they know or woke up one morning and drank a few big cups of stupid and got assigned to directing the response to this catastrophe. Nothing makes sense unless you take this into account, but after you do...you will see the "sense" behind what has happened and what is happening. That conclusion is this:
The well bore structure is compromised "Down hole".
That is something which is a "Worst nightmare" conclusion to reach. While many have been saying this for some time as with any complex disaster of this proportion many have "said" a lot of things with no real sound reasons or evidence for jumping to such conclusions, well this time it appears that they may have jumped into the right place...

June 21 (Bloomberg) -- Copper, oil and corn paced an advance in commodities on speculation demand for raw materials will increase after China, the world’s third-largest economy, signaled an end to the yuan’s fixed rate to the dollar.
Oil jumped to a six-week high, gold climbed to within 0.1 percent of its record, and copper advanced for the first time in four days, after China said it may allow the yuan to move higher, making commodities priced in other currencies less expensive for Chinese consumers. China is the world’s largest user of copper and the second-largest energy consumer.
