AMSTERDAM (Dow Jones)--Goldman Sachs verlaagt het koersdoel voor Shell naar EUR32 van EUR33 op basis van gewijzigde aannames ten aanzien van valutaeffecten. Het advies blijft conviction buy. De belangrijkste aanjagers voor de komende zes maanden blijven de in de opstartfase verkerende projecten Pearl GTL, Qatargas 4 en Athabasca. Volgens analist Michele della Vigna zullen alleen al deze drie projecten $6 miljard tot $7 miljard aan extra kasstroom genereren bij het huidige olieprijspeil, waarmee ze Shell van de beste kasstroomgroei in de Europese oliesector voorzien tussen 2010 en 2012. Het aandeel staat vrijdag kort na opening 0,3% hoger op EUR21,34. (HJL)

De q2 resultaten van RDS zijn bevredigend .Enkele belangrijke redenen,afgezien van de winststijging:
- produktie plus 5%(3,1 mln vaten),omzet lng zelfs 34%.Enkele nieuwe bronnen (oa Nigeria dragen hiertoe bij.
-operationele cashflow (nett) 8,1 mrd dollar en cashflow uit investeringsactiviteiten 5,6 mrd,daarmee wordt voor het eerst sinds maanden het dividend van 2,4 mrd niet meer uit geleend geld betaald.Overigens neemt de totale schuld wel toe in eerste helft van 2010 tot 40mrd (plus 7 mrd);Het ziet er naar uit dat mede door kostenbesparingen RDS niet meer als een waanzinnige moet investeren om de groei overeeind te houden.De waarde creatie kan beginnen.
Een zwak puntje RDS heeft belangen in Iran en Sirie voor de VS verboden gebied.

Analysts expect Exxon Mobil's net income for the second quarter to rise by about 70% to $7 billion, or $1.47 a share, from $4.1 billion, or 84 cents, earned in the year-ago period, according to a survey by FactSet Research.
While Exxon Mobil -- the world's largest corporation -- often reports the fattest profit of any company in the S&P 500 /quotes/comstock/21z!i1:in\x (SPX 1,106, -7.72, -0.69%) , it's worth noting that the oil major has missed earnings targets in four of the last five quarters. In the first quarter, for instance, profit fell short of estimates by about 6 cents a share.
During the second quarter, Exxon's share price fell from $68.66 to $57.02 -- the lowest level since early 2006. Since then, the stock has risen to above the $60 mark as the broad equities market started the second half with a recovery.
